ANGELA SALTER ,Editor in Chief, oversees the actual editing of all projects. Ms. Salter has completed an undergraduate degree and master’s work in English. She has also studied overseas at Cambridge University. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, "Wer keine fremde Sprache spricht, kennt seine Muttersprache nicht.” [Whoever does not speak a foreign language is unfamiliar with his or her native language.] Acquiring a minor in German as well as intensive study at the Goethe Institute in Germany, Ms. Salter has fashioned a broad foundation for an astute comprehension of her own language by studying the German tongue. She has furthered her qualifications by teaching the language she has mastered both on the university level and in a foreign capacity. She took her abilities overseas to teach English as a Second Language in China to students of all ages and backgrounds. She brought her English skill and teaching ability home to provide English tutoring (through a professional language school) to foreign-language speaking executives and professionals who have come to the U.S. in job placement relocation. Coupling her academic study with teaching experience allows her to bring precision and vibrancy to the expression of ideas, and she is dedicated to beauty and clarity in communication. Angela has also provided services as a technical writer for a high-level technical consulting firm which assists clients in applying for federal government contracts. While ensuring correctness according to "standard English," she maintains a constant watch on our ever-evolving language that is, after all, owned and controlled by everyone.

Ms. Salter is a member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES).

SalterEditing Advantage: Timely Quality and Guaranteed Satisfaction

A favorite warning of highway patrol troopers is “speed kills.” The same warning rings true for editing. However, we are aware that delaying project deadlines (especially published deadlines) can be just as detrimental. Working with your company's project coordinator, SalterEditing will always balance editing thoroughness with timely execution. At the beginning of each project, we will review the material and discuss schedule with your representative. Furthermore, we will apprise you of the progress throughout the assignment.

SalterEditing commits to quality work within the agreed-to schedule. At the outset of every project, we ensure complete understanding of scope regarding content, service, schedule, and price so that the project completion may be compared to the original scope for satisfaction in all areas. And our satisfaction guarantee has teeth. If our work product does not meet the client’s performance expectations regarding adherence to established scope, SalterEditing will either redo the work for no additional fee or not charge the client for the work.

Best of all, no work product leaves our offices without having undergone review by two sets of editing eyes. While editors usually double-check their work, often the same editor who initially performed the edit reviews his or her own work. SalterEditing realizes that even the best editors at times slip into a single-focus mindset. Assigning a second editor to the review helps ensure consideration of additional perspective.
